Senior Java Developer

Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience in Java
• Proven experience developing microservices architectures
• Solid experience with SQL / relational databases
• Frontend experience with JavaScript
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
• Familiarity with Spring Boot or modern Java frameworks
• Experience working on SaaS platforms
• Background in large-scale or regulated environments
• Must be UK-based with the right to work
• Hybrid working: 2-3 days per week onsite in Berkshire

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable Java-based microservices
• Contribute to greenfield development and system architecture
• Build full-stack functionality across Java backend and JavaScript frontend
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders across the business
• Drive best practices in CI/CD, testing, and software quality
• Support delivery of long-term strategic projects
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth
• Help shape technical direction and engineering standards
