DSA Product Owner

Salary: £33,000 - 73,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a bachelors or masters degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• We require strong understanding of digital shelf metrics, product content optimization, and retail media strategies.
• We require excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• We require familiarity with agile methodologies and backlog management tools.
• We require industry certifications and experience with DSA platforms such as Commerce IQ, Profitero, or Edge by Ascential.
• We prefer experience in Food & Beverage or a related industry.
• We prefer experience analysing business challenges using structured frameworks and methodologies.
• We require strong analytical and problem-solving skills for developing technology-enabled use cases and analysing business needs.
• We prefer experience in modelling system processes, with knowledge of common notational standards such as BPMN.
• We prefer the ability to design and execute functional tests, including managing bugs and defects through to remediation.
• We prefer basic knowledge of software engineering, information risk, security standards, and technology solutioning.
• We require the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional IS team.

Responsibilities:

• We act as the technical specialist owning the DSA application and supporting business needs.
• We collaborate with the application partner to unlock full value from the DSA ecosystem.
• We capture and prioritise detailed requirements, including features and user stories, aligned to the product data strategy.
• We manage and refine the product backlog in partnership with the Scrum Master.
• We document current and future system processes and identify opportunities for efficiency and optimisation.
• We collaborate with the Product Manager, Solution Architect, and stakeholders to design high-level system flows and propose technology-enabled solutions.
• We prepare functional and technical specifications for configuration or development changes.
• We configure and maintain workflows within the DSA application to support evolving business needs.
• We maintain configuration repositories and manage non-SAP code objects where applicable.
• We administer user roles and access controls in alignment with InfoSec policies.
• We support compliance and security considerations across the DSA ecosystem.
• We advise developers and testers on expected system behaviour.
• We perform functional testing on delivered solutions and upgrades to ensure alignment with business requirements.
• We coordinate configuration release activities in adherence to established policies.
• We develop user guides and training materials.
• We deliver training sessions to key users and support teams to drive adoption and effective usage.
• We identify and implement automation opportunities within product workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
• We establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the DSA ecosystem.
• We monitor and report on application usage and effectiveness to ensure ROI and global adoption.
• We support the Product Manager in budget management and compliance reporting for the DSA ecosystem.
