Backend Developer Go Node Pub/Sub

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong backend development experience with Go, Node.js or another modern server-side language
• Experience building or operating distributed systems, messaging platforms, event-driven architectures or streaming technologies
• Understanding of scalability, concurrency, performance optimisation and fault tolerant system design
• Experience with Pub / Sub messaging
• Ability to solve complex technical challenges and deliver high quality, production-ready software
• Comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced engineering environment
• Openness to using modern AI development tools while maintaining a strong focus on engineering quality
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, streaming systems, developer platforms or cloud infrastructure is highly advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Join our team responsible for the core messaging platform that underpins our real-time infrastructure
• Design and build new platform capabilities for highly scalable distributed systems
• Improve performance and reliability across our platform
• Solve complex engineering problems at scale
• Contribute to low latency messaging, Pub / Sub services, state synchronisation and next-generation AI communication infrastructure
• Deliver production-grade software used by developers around the globe
• Work in an AI-first engineering environment, leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate development while retaining ownership of architecture, code quality and technical decision-making
