Penetration Tester

Salary: £42,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a BSc degree or 3 years of relevant experience.
• We require a reputable penetration testing qualification such as OSCP, GPEN, Security+, CPSA, CEH, or CRT.
• We require 1 to 3 years of penetration testing or security experience.
• We require 1 year of penetration testing consulting experience.
• We require the ability to pass BPSS or HMG SC vetting requirements.
• We need the ability to adapt to a fast-moving security landscape and keep pace with the latest thinking.
• We need strong customer focus and the ability to meet the demands of internal and external customers.
• We need excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• We need the ability to make well-informed and timely decisions with some direction and guidance.
• We need good time management skills and the ability to handle conflicting priorities while delivering excellent quality.

Responsibilities:

• We perform penetration testing assignments aligned with our expertise across infrastructure, web applications, APIs, mobile applications, red team, and cloud configuration reviews.
• We deliver high-quality penetration testing services that provide real value to our customers.
• We work under the direction of our team leader or Head of Assurance Testing on internal projects and research and development, while helping improve the effectiveness of our services by bringing new ideas and ways of working.
• We collaborate with our sales team to ensure appropriate scoping of new business opportunities and to create proposals for successful engagement delivery.
• We manage customer engagements to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
• We deliver penetration testing services to customers as part of a team.
• We provide technical assistance and support to colleagues, sharing knowledge and supporting collaborative problem-solving.
• We conduct quality assurance reviews of reports and proposals to ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• We collaborate to maintain and update our vulnerability database so it remains accurate and comprehensive.
• We support scoping calls and work with account managers to define penetration testing requirements, provide technical input, and ensure seamless client interactions and service delivery.
• We improve our knowledge and capability through on-the-job learning, self-study, exam preparation, and an enthusiastic can-do attitude.
• We deliver high-quality engagements to customers and provide real value to them.
