QA Engineer

Salary: £29,000 - 69,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience developing automated test frameworks using C# (.NET) or Java, with Behaviour Driven Development frameworks such as SpecFlow or Reqnroll.
• Strong experience automating REST API and UI testing using tools such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, version control, and modern software delivery practices.
• Strong SQL skills with experience working against relational databases and validating complex datasets.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar, to improve software testing while applying critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, agile methodologies, test design techniques including equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis, and automation best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Nice to have: experience within financial services or fintech, particularly testing financial systems, XML, JSON, FIX, SFTP, or Swift messaging.
• Nice to have: familiarity with MCP integrations and AI agent workflows.
• Nice to have: experience testing event-driven architectures, including Azure Service Bus and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Nice to have: knowledge of NeoLoad or other non-functional testing tools.
• Nice to have: understanding of the European Mutual Funds and/or ETF industry.
• Nice to have: ISTQB Certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated functional and regression test suites using C#, BDD frameworks, and modern automation tools.
• Execute functional, regression, API, UI, and exploratory testing to ensure high-quality software releases across our products.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, supporting continuous delivery practices.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and MCP integrations to accelerate test creation, defect investigation, and impact analysis while validating all AI-generated output.
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, DevOps, Operations, and Client Delivery teams to understand requirements, identify defects, and ensure successful delivery.
• Generate and maintain high-quality BDD scenarios, automated test scripts, and QA documentation while contributing to the teams automation standards and knowledge base.
• Continuously improve QA processes, promote automation best practices, and contribute to the adoption of AI-driven quality engineering across the team.
