DevOps Engineering Consultant

Salary: £50,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Masterful development or scripting abilities in languages like PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, Python, or C#
• Seamless expertise in Git and adeptness in enterprise development environments, including complex enterprise-level software delivery and release management practices
• Experience configuring and administering CI/CD for Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise
• Experience with micro-services or cloud-based architectures for web or mobile applications
• Knowledge of IT security best practices for securing delivery pipelines, applications, and services, using resources like Azure Key Vault, Azure Active Directory, and GitHub Advanced Security
• Experience with agentic engineering is welcome

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of core DevOps tenets and principles
• Work with development, quality assurance, and infrastructure team members to build an effective continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline
• Develop and deliver SRE-minded solutions that improve service stability and reliability
• Share best practices for build and deployment across several technologies, including Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise
• Drive the teams triaging capability by taking on challenging problems not understood by front-line support teams and building robust, resilient solutions
• Automate and productize every aspect of the development, build, and deployment process, including agentic workflows
• Manage a backlog of tasks focused on continuous improvement
• Support development of agentic engineering solutions to improve efficiency in the SDLC
