Salary: £51,000 - 91,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Expert-level experience building and maintaining full-stack development in Java, Python, and JavaScript
  • Experience automating solutions in Cypress and Automatics Framework
  • Strong analytical skills for root cause identification of defects on Smart TV and streaming devices, including streaming apps, audio/video sync, and interoperability user experience testing
  • Strong automation development experience across Smart TV and Stream devices, airplay, ATSC, Bluetooth, HDMI input, Deep Sleep mode, VOD and linear channel content, and native apps
  • Strong DevOps practices experience with full lifecycle ownership, solutioning, observability, process optimisation, collaboration, integration, and operationalisation
  • Strong BDD and test automation/infrastructure experience with a good understanding of business-driven development strategy
  • Strong familiarity with automation tools and frameworks for test development, execution, and reporting
  • Strong reliability engineering and test coverage optimisation experience
  • Experience leading strategy definition and driving process improvements in product release quality
Responsibilities:
  • Develop automation solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of products including Smart TV and streaming devices
  • Work on features such as video playback, content discovery, user experience, streaming integrity, app integration, parental control, network handling, and audio/video sync
  • Get familiar with automation tools and frameworks for test development, execution, and reporting
  • Maintain test automation by selecting appropriate tools, configuring environments, and integrating with version control systems
  • Practice agile methodologies and participate in joint sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings
  • Develop and execute high-quality test plans efficiently on RDK stacks using automation and tooling to detect defects quickly
  • Explore advanced topics such as test data management, scenario refactoring, and integrating BDD with CI/CD pipelines
  • Identify strategies for optimising test coverage, including risk-based testing, equivalence partitioning, and prioritising critical paths
