Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong Java programming skills, ideally in a real-time low-latency or zero-GC environment.
• A strong desire to produce organised, readable, and maintainable software.
• Proven problem-solving ability with critical and creative thinking.
• Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
• Hands-on experience writing robust, automated unit and integration test suites to ensure code reliability.
• Prior experience working on an electronic trading platform, including reference data, market data, and FIX.
• Ability to balance multiple time-sensitive projects while maintaining a longer-term strategic focus.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Python, SQL, and/or Linux would be beneficial.
• Prior experience with a sequencer or event-based architecture and/or zero-GC Java.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, high-availability, high-capacity, yet nimble and adaptive platforms that satisfy a range of business needs.
• Work in partnership with our wider engineering and product teams to design and implement best-in-class solutions.
• Work closely with our counterpart teams globally to ensure we are building reusable features and systems and leveraging work and experience from other regions.
• Participate in the full product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, support, and monitoring.
