Full Stack Java Developer

Salary: £34,500 - 46,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Kotlin Developer to join our UK Digital & Cloud Practice.
• We need deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns, including microservices and message-driven architectures.
• We require NFR / Non-Functional requirement understanding and experience developing applications with this in mind.
• We need application / digital services design experience.
• We require experience in software engineering practices like code reviews, CI/CD pipelines and SOLID/DRY principles.
• We need hands-on developing/coding experience using frontend technologies including TypeScript, Node and Express JS.
• We require hands-on developing/coding experience using backend technologies including Kotlin, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• We need experience in estimation and sizing.
• We require integration experience.
• We need API design experience.
• We require cloud experience.
• We want candidates with an appetite to work with emerging AI technologies.
• Candidates need to either hold SC Clearance or be SC Eligible.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test and maintain cloud-based software applications.
• Provide technical leadership within a team to coordinate and deliver scalable, secure solutions in line with good industry software engineering practices, including code quality, CI/CD and security.
• Work within a project management/agile delivery methodology.
• Take technical ownership for a product or software solution, covering design, estimation, shaping and user story/requirement creation.
• Document solutions, including architecture, configuration, release and support handover.
• Collaborate and liaise with Version 1 and customer stakeholders/end users throughout the software development lifecycle, including PMs, BAs, Testing and Product teams.
• Communicate technical designs clearly in conversation, documentation and presentations to stakeholders with varying technical abilities.
• Provide effective knowledge transfer to team members and customers.
• Manage, coach and develop junior members of the team and the wider community.
• Foster a positive working environment and facilitate team collaboration and communication.
