Customer Solutions Architect

Salary: £67,000 - 107,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a customer-facing Pre-Sales or Technical Consultant role
• Strong experience producing customer-facing HLDs and LLDs
• Experience designing SaaS or managed service solutions
• Understanding of regulated or compliance-driven environments
• Excellent customer communication, workshop facilitation, and presentation skills
• Ability to balance customer requirements with product and service constraints
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of APIs, microservices, integrations, data flows, scalability, and security
• Understanding of infrastructure concepts including networking, authentication, IAM, and containers such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with databases such as SQL and NoSQL
• Agile or Scrum certifications
• ITIL certification for service-oriented environments
• Experience with RFPs, proposals, and SOWs
• 3–8+ years in roles such as Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Implementation Architect
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or relevant business experience
• Nice-to-have experience with compliance, archiving, or regulated data platforms
• Exposure to financial services or regulated communications environments
• Experience supporting technical pre-sales or complex customer onboarding
• Familiarity with structured service delivery or professional services models
• Strong customer-first mindset
• Confident, credible, and consultative in customer engagements
• Structured and detail-oriented in design documentation
• Comfortable managing multiple customer designs concurrently

Responsibilities:

• Understand client needs and work with partners on complex integration requirements
• Move opportunities from pre-sales into post-sale delivery where appropriate
• Design pre-sales solutions and create customer-facing solutions
• Hand over solutions to the Engineering team for implementation
• Integrate client systems
• Produce HLDs and LLDs for customer solutions
• Balance customer requirements with product and service constraints
• Support customer engagements through workshops and presentations
• Manage multiple customer designs concurrently
