VP Java Electronic Trading Engineer

Salary: £74,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant development experience
• Strong server-side Java development background
• Experience in one or more of order management systems, market connectivity, low latency messaging, or price distribution
• Ability to work independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Desire to own issues and see them through to resolution
• Excellent core Java skills
• Exceptional knowledge of concurrency and multithreaded programming
• Experience developing low latency pricing and trading systems in a Linux environment
• Experience with application performance profiling and optimisation
• Bonus points for eFX development experience in a low latency, zero GC environment
• Knowledge of institutional encodings such as FIX and SBE
• Knowledge of fault tolerant, high availability, distributed computing
• Knowledge of low latency messaging such as Aeron and 29West
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS
• Knowledge of crypto
