Senior AI Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI or applied data-intensive software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• A track record of taking projects from idea to production.
• Proficiency in Python and the ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code.
• Hands-on experience with modern GenAI tooling such as Pinecone, HuggingFace, LangChain/LangSmith, or CrewAI.
• Understanding of agentic architectures, including tool use, orchestration, evaluation, and multi-agent patterns.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and pipelines in real-world contexts.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Interest in client-facing work, including workshops and proposals.
• Curiosity, openness to feedback, and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience in some areas of GenAI and willingness to keep learning in others.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build AI applications, including MCP servers, voice-to-voice real-time apps, RAG bots, and multi-agent systems.
• Advise clients on AI strategy through workshops and proposals.
• Build demos and proofs of concept that are fast, purposeful, and client-ready.
• Mentor junior engineers through knowledge sharing and thoughtful code review.
• Contribute to shared tools, frameworks, and ways of working that shape our AI practice.
• Work across the full lifecycle from early-stage ideation through to production deployment of cloud-native GenAI applications.
• Help define how we build and deliver AI at scale.
• Support client work across industries such as media, retail, and automotive.
