Salary: £26,000 - 61,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent qualifications
  • A few years of data science experience
  • Experience in managing and ideating a proof-of-concept
  • Experience leading workstreams in larger productionised solutions
  • Experience in coaching and training junior resources
  • Ability to travel to clients and our office(s)
  • Proficiency in Python, including in-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming and design principles
  • Proficiency in SQL, including strong knowledge of database structure and efficiency
  • Proficiency in Git
  • Proficiency in any of the following AI/ML frameworks: Huggingface, Torch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, and Spacy
  • Experience with any of the following MLOps-related platforms: MLFlow, dbt, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS
  • Experience with any of the following AI/ML topics within a work context: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Forecasting, Clustering, Recommendation Engines, Network Analysis (Graph Theory), and Regressions, with the ability to discuss design decisions in depth
  • Experience with any of the following AI/ML concepts: Cross Validation, Ensemble Methods, Over/Under Fitting, Accuracy/Precision/Recall, RAG, Agents
  • Understanding of AI/ML performance measurement best practices, including how to build and apply a QA/QC framework and knowledge of drift, bias, and fairness
  • Experience with any of the following computer science concepts: Hashing, Space Complexity, and Parallel Processing (Multiprocessing)
  • Ability to work with Linux/*nix systems, bash scripting, SSH (with some instruction)
  • Experience in a Solution Architect role, with a demonstrated ability to design technical solutions including Database Design, ModelOps, and Orchestration
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive ETL processes
  • Design and maintain functional relational databases
  • Structure and perform quality control procedures for data ingestion, querying, and usage
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and provide key insights through evidenced results
  • Execute data quality assessments
  • Illustrate material understandings through coherent data visualizations
  • Execute and tune statistical analyses
  • Manage proof-of-concepts, including researching and designing the approach
  • Design modelling approaches and identify appropriate metrics from both technical and business KPI perspectives
  • Manage the model lifecycle, including logging model parameters and metrics and storing artifacts
  • Take ownership of model quality control
  • Productionize models, including ongoing monitoring
  • Develop data pipelines and models that are well designed and auditable
  • Develop production-ready code that is scalable, maintainable, and adheres to best design principles
  • Set standards and promote best practices for engineering within the team
  • Frequently partner with internal and external stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
  • Lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders to showcase results
  • Coach and mentor junior data scientists
