Vice President, POM Product Owner

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Significant experience in financial services within the banking industry, with a focus on one or more of the following disciplines: data product, digital product, technical product, financial product, or experience/service expertise.
• Strong communicator and influencer.
• Curious, with a willingness to ask hard questions, explore new ideas, and continuously learn and research to meet goals.
• Organized, resourceful, and able to prioritize tasks.
• Self-starter with a get-it-done attitude and the ability to overcome roadblocks while staying focused on the vision.
• Interest in constantly learning new tools and technologies, with a passion for sharing knowledge with the team.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Bachelors degree in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Extensive experience in product management and financial services.

Responsibilities:

• Define and prioritize the product backlog, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and working closely with the development team to ensure successful delivery.
• Manage the product backlog and near-term roadmap, ensuring it is refined, prioritized, and groomed.
• Own user stories, the refinement process, and stakeholder management through ongoing collaboration and updates.
• Write specifications for minor features and contribute meaningfully to specifications for major features.
• Negotiate the implementation of current work and make trade-off decisions to launch products in a high-quality manner.
• Escalate issues to management as necessary.
• Identify and triage issues with specific features, understanding how multiple features are interrelated and catching more complex problems.
• Define proper measurement and instrumentation for a product to analyze results post-release and launch.
• Partner with the manager to recommend the right next steps for features.
• Assess the quality of existing UX and recommend improvements to user experience.
