Requirements:
  • Experience in UX research, ideally within a software platform or product environment.
  • Strong skills in qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Experience interviewing, listening, and conducting usability testing.
  • Strong communication skills, including report writing, note taking, and presentation.
  • Experience facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and a learning mindset.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience using data analytics and insights to inform decisions.
  • Familiarity with product methodologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead UX research initiatives for high-priority and highly strategic projects.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to capture business needs while advocating for the voice of the customer.
  • Conduct briefing and visionary workshops with senior stakeholders to understand direction and research needs.
  • Improve ways of working across the research team to ensure high-quality research.
  • Support associate and mid-weight researchers throughout the research phase.
  • Help project teams define, influence, and drive the user experience vision for projects.
  • Manage agency relationships for key projects.
  • Build internal capability and support a customer-centric culture.
  • Work closely with Product and UX Design teams to ensure research insights are incorporated.
  • Support Product and Design teams in establishing successful processes and ways of working.
  • Develop relationships across the business to gather existing data and insights to inform product strategy and identify opportunities.
  • Advocate for UX research and promote how research can be incorporated in stakeholder meetings.
  • Share research expertise and encourage wider team participation in UX research to improve organisational capability.
  • Support the UX research manager and design leads in identifying and prioritising research needs, avoiding duplication, and aligning best practice.
  • Help define, influence, and drive the user experience vision for projects.
  • Plan and drive the execution of design projects from inception to completion where relevant.

We are in the discovery phase of designing a new software platform that will be used by our developers, architects, and wider teams. This is a contract role based in London with a hybrid working pattern of 2 days per week in the office. The assignment is initially until the end of the year and offers a daily rate of £700. We are looking for a classic IT UX Researcher to help build the strategy with our Product Team. Our hiring process uses generative AI tools to support candidate screening, but all final decisions are made by our hiring team. We are an equal opportunities employer.
