Founding Software Engineer Python

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong technical skills, primarily with Python
• Experience with RESTful APIs; experience with FastAPI would be beneficial
• Experience with TypeScript, React, and web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3 would be beneficial
• Experience with LLMs and agentic AI
• Comfortable working in a start-up environment and unstructured settings
• Collaborative with strong communication skills
• Degree educated, minimum 2.1 BSc from a top-tier university, preferably in Computer Science or a closely related discipline
• MSc or PhD education would be likely
• Curious, proactive, and able to learn quickly
• Able to take ownership and build software from scratch, iterating quickly

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the design and development of scalable, cloud-native applications
• Work across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and backend services through to frontend development, CI/CD, and deployment on Azure
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to influence technical direction
• Solve complex engineering challenges
• Help establish the engineering practices that will support future growth
• Work primarily with Python and TypeScript to build innovative products
• Leverage AI technologies to solve real-world problems
• Contribute to product decisions, architecture, and engineering culture
