SAP System Analyst
Job Description
Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements:- Significant SAP MM/PP experience is required.
- Experience with SAP ECM, QM, and PM modules is desired.
- A BA/BS degree is desirable, although practical experience and expertise are essential.
- Proven software systems experience is required.
- Proven understanding of database applications, system development, report writing, and SAP ERP is required.
- Production support and project experience are required.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Knowledge of SAP best practices is required.
- Strong organization and communication skills are required, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in business terms.
- The ability to interact with all levels and manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision is required.
- We analyze complex business problems and solve them using SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, and associated business applications.
- We provide technical expertise to identify, evaluate, and develop cost-effective systems and procedures that improve business performance and meet user requirements.
- We configure system settings and options, plan and execute unit and integration testing, and create system specifications.
- We configure the MM/PP module at a project level and translate user requests into application system solutions.
- We analyze user requirements to define, design, and implement system configuration, enhancements, and modifications.
- We resolve business issues by working with system users, management, consultants, and software support staff.
- We work in multidisciplinary teams to define and design complex SAP processes and procedures for configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
- We define requirements for forms and reports.
- We design test plans, execute test scenarios, validate test data, and document test results with business functional leads.
- We coordinate end-user training documentation and train end users as required.
- We analyze business practices, processes, and scenarios, and redesign procedures to align with best-practice SAP functionality.
- We use query and reporting tools to provide timely information to system users.
- We coordinate project management activities for user groups, including planning, scheduling, tracking accountability, documentation, monitoring, evaluation, problem solving, and technical assistance.
- We may support and maintain non-SAP applications or systems.
- We participate in the creation and enforcement of IT software standards and procedures.
- We maintain the helpdesk database of reported problems and the knowledgebase of corrective actions.
