Information Security Specialist

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced Information Security Specialist with ISO 27001 certification and a strong understanding of information security management frameworks.
• You should have proven experience supporting audit remediation and evidencing control improvements.
• You should understand joiners, movers and leavers security controls.
• You should have hands-on experience with Qualys VMDR or similar vulnerability management tooling.
• You should be able to manage remediation activity, influence stakeholders and work at pace.
• You should have excellent documentation, reporting and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• We support the delivery of ISO 27001 controls, governance and audit remediation plans.
• We address external audit findings relating to starters, leavers and joiners processes.
• We monitor, evidence and report on information security compliance activity for auditors.
• We provide training, guidance and awareness support across relevant teams.
• We use Qualys VMDR to support vulnerability management, detection, response and remediation tracking.
• We produce clear reports, dashboards and updates for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We are supporting an organisation in Birmingham with urgent information security, audit remediation and vulnerability management activity. This is a contract role on a 1 month rolling basis to provide interim cover.
