Technical Principal

Salary: £43,000 - 83,000 per year

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in technical delivery for client engagements
• Expertise across multiple technologies, including Java, .NET, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Scala, and Clojure
• Experience as an architect or leading and inspiring software development teams
• Strong understanding of Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery methods
• Significant software development and infrastructure architecture experience, especially in enterprise web applications
• Experience working with senior IT groups in an advisory role
• Experience working with CTOs and COOs to create technical strategies
• Ideally, experience contributing to the professional community as a speaker, author, or online contributor

Responsibilities:

• Take client needs and challenges and turn them into a technical roadmap and technology solution
• Provide technical leadership across the enterprise to ensure delivery of exceptional technical solutions
• Formulate and communicate the technical and political implications of real-world solutions
• Manage technology scope and risks
• Mentor and coach teams on approach, execution, technologies, and solution direction
• Ensure technical deliverables meet expectations
• Drive our thought leadership on engineering and architectural practices and standards
• Inspire innovation in the client
• Build trusted relationships with client CIOs, CTOs, and their teams
• Create and support sales activities
• Maintain strong expertise in current and emerging technologies and products
• Write code and remain hands-on technically
