Junior IT Support Engineer

Salary: £25,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:

• A degree, apprenticeship, or relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is desirable.
• Previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, or Helpdesk role would be advantageous.
• Good knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Basic Active Directory administration experience.
• Experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware.
• Knowledge of printers and peripheral devices.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and wired/wireless connectivity.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• We are looking for someone who is well organised, able to prioritise workload, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first and second-line IT support to end users.
• Respond to and resolve IT incidents and service requests within agreed timescales.
• Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
• Support Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
• Assist with user account administration and access requests.
• Provide remote support using remote access tools.
• Monitor and maintain IT equipment and ensure systems remain reliable.
• Escalate more complex technical issues to senior engineers where required.
• Maintain IT asset records and technical documentation.
• Assist with hardware rollouts, equipment refreshes, and IT projects.
• Follow IT security policies and best practices.
• Liaise with third-party suppliers and vendors when necessary.
