Embedded V & V Software Engineer

Requirements:

• Strong experience of V&V activities in an embedded software environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Good documentation skills
• Ability to turn requirements into structured test cases and procedures
• Experience of working in a lab environment on an electro mechanical product running embedded software
• Good working knowledge of the complete software engineering lifecycle
• Scripting abilities
• Embedded software development experience using C/C++
• SC clearance required to start

Responsibilities:

• We will be responsible for verification and validation activities on real-time systems application software for the next generation of Missile Systems
• We will take requirements and develop them into robust test cases
• We will prepare and execute tests
• We will capture data and deliver actionable feedback to project teams
• We will apply practical problem-solving skills, data acquisition expertise, and adaptability to support the role

We are recruiting an Embedded V & V Software Engineer for an initial 6-month contract based in Bristol. This is a Monday to Friday role, 37 hours per week, paid at £70 per hour via umbrella, and the position is inside IR35.
