Requirements:- Strong commercial experience developing applications with Python.
- Excellent AWS experience, including services such as Lambda, ECS, EC2, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB and CloudWatch.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar.
- Experience working with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure automation and DevOps best practices.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs and microservices.
- Comfortable working across both application development and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience using Git and working within Agile delivery teams.
- Previous NHS or Central Government experience is essential.
- Experience with Bash or other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of serverless architectures.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana or Dynatrace.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR or HL7.
- Experience working within large-scale digital transformation programmes.
- Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using Python.
- Build and deploy scalable solutions within AWS.
- Design, build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing and deployment.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle, from design through to production support.
- Collaborate with DevOps, architecture and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimise application performance and reliability.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer with a strong DevOps mindset to join a large-scale public sector transformation programme. This is a hands-on engineering role where we build, deploy and support cloud-native services across the full software delivery lifecycle. You will work closely with architects, platform engineers and delivery teams to develop secure, scalable applications while contributing to cloud infrastructure, automation and CI/CD pipelines. The role is inside IR35, pays £500 per day, requires 1-2 days per month in Leeds, and is due to run until 31st March 2027 with an ASAP start.
