Senior Databricks Technical Engineer

Salary: £100,000 - 111,500 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience with Databricks (essential)
• Expert SQL skills
• Experience building modern data platforms from scratch
• Knowledge of Data Lakes/Lakehouse architectures
• Power BI or similar reporting experience
• A passion for mentoring others and leading technically
• Experience with AI or advanced analytics is a real advantage
• We require applicants to already hold SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain it, with 5 years of continuous UK residency required

Responsibilities:

• Build enterprise-scale data platforms from the ground up
• Design robust data pipelines using Databricks and SQL
• Work with modern Lakehouse and Data Lake architectures
• Deliver analytics and insight solutions that drive business decisions
• Improve platform performance, scalability, and data quality
• Provide technical leadership within a highly skilled engineering team
• Mentor other engineers and help shape the platform

We are building modern data platforms that make a real impact, and you will play a key role from day one as our technical expert, helping shape the platform and support the development of other engineers.
