IT Technician

Salary: £30,000 - 30,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a minimum of two years experience in a similar IT role, with at least 12 months experience in IT support.
• We need knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and the ability to troubleshoot common problems.
• We need an understanding of network infrastructure and technology.
• We need an understanding of computer hardware and peripherals.
• We need strong analytical and problem-solving skills across a broad spectrum of ICT disciplines.
• We need the ability to prioritise work received via telephone, email and helpdesk systems based on business or user impact.
• We need strong communication skills and the ability to work firmly with external support contractors to maintain service levels.
• We need excellent organisation and time management skills.
• We need an understanding of the concept of internal customers and the ability to support internal stakeholders confidently.
• Knowledge of Proclaim case management is a distinct advantage.
• Experience working with software provider Eclipse is a distinct advantage.
• Experience with IP telephone systems such as RingCentral is desirable.
• Experience working in the legal industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• We administer in-house software.
• We provide desktop support and troubleshooting in Windows 10 environments.
• We support deployed printers, scanners and other peripherals across the network.
• We support company mobile phones and other mobile devices.
• We support the company telecoms system.
• We maintain a comprehensive asset register.
• We support security systems linked to the IT network.
• We may travel to our Liverpool branch office on an ad hoc basis.
• We assist the IT team with the day-to-day and long-term function of our IT infrastructure.
• We ensure the smooth running of our IT technical resources.
• We support internal staff with hardware and software issues.

This full-time, permanent IT Technician role is based on-site in Sharston, Manchester, with working hours of 9:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Thursday and 9:30am to 6:00pm on Friday.
