IT Support Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £39,000 - 39,500 per year
Requirements:- Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer in a Windows-based environment
- Strong desk-side / 2nd line support experience: End-user devices (Windows laptops/desktops)
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Intune
- Experience with classroom and AV technology, including interactive screens and display connectivity
- Proficient in M365, Exchange, and Teams support
- Comfortable working independently as the sole onsite engineer
- Good working knowledge of networking fundamentals (Aruba Wi-Fi, switches)
- Experience working in schools or educational environments is highly desirable
- Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users
- Clear Enhanced DBS required prior to starting
- Act as the sole onsite IT Support Engineer, providing day-to-day support across the school
- Deliver desk-side and 2nd line support to staff and students
- Support classroom technology and AV, ensuring interactive screens and display connectivity
- Provide timely support to teaching staff to ensure lessons run smoothly
- Carry out basic IT housekeeping, including device and server patching

We are an organization providing IT services to schools across the UK, seeking an IT Support Engineer for a short-term contract in Stoke-on-Trent. In this role, you will serve as the sole IT presence, supporting a busy school environment with hands-on desk-side support and classroom technology.
