Senior Software Engineer (m/w/d) – Backend & Data Infrastructure

• Own the architecture and roadmap of our internal infrastructure tools and data platform
• Design and operate centralized data pipelines aggregating data from multiple products (e.g. drones, IoT and robotics devices), ensuring reliable ingestion and synchronization at scale
• Build and scale backend services, APIs (Python/Django), and storage solutions, owning them end to end in production
• Drive performance, scalability, observability, and security across our backend systems
• Lead greenfield projects from concept to production
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and help shape technical direction

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of owning production systems
• Expert Python skills and extensive Django experience
• Proven experience building data pipelines in production (ideally Airflow) and strong SQL/PostgreSQL skills
• Solid system design skills, including concurrency and asynchronous programming
• Production experience with cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools (e.g. Grafana)
• Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and mentor others

• Experience with robotics or IoT systems
• Go or Rust
• Experience building internal tools or developer platforms

• Intrinsic motivation, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving mindset
• Creative thinker with a structured and systematic approach
• Humble and collaborative — prioritizes collective success over individual recognition
• High ethical standards and disciplined work ethic
• Extra-curricular leadership or achievements are a bonus
• Fluent in English
• Successful candidates will be required to obtain security clearance
