The Role

File Checking is Aveni's AI-powered solution that helps advice firms review advice files faster and more consistently against regulatory requirements and their own standards. We're looking for an Implementation Specialist to help launch it with clients and make it part of how they assure the quality of their advice.

You'll work with firms from the moment they sign, learning how their file-review framework works and configuring File Checking to match. You'll compare the AI's outcomes with those of experienced human checkers, work out why they differ, and refine the configuration until the results are accurate and trusted. If you've worked as a file checker, compliance officer or T&C supervisor and want to shape how AI is used in advice quality assurance, this role is for you.

What You'll Be Doing

Implementation delivery

• Working with clients to understand their objectives and translating them into clear requirements, agreed outcomes and deliverables for our Product and Engineering teams.

• Creating and managing implementation plans, acting as a primary point of contact and keeping clients updated throughout.

• Coordinating technical readiness, testing and go-live, then providing early-life support before handing over to Customer Success and Support.

File checking

• Understanding each client's file-review framework, including checklists, sampling, risk ratings and outcome categories, and configuring checking questions, scoring criteria, evidence requirements and edge cases.

• Comparing AI outcomes with human file-checking outcomes, identifying discrepancies and refining the configuration to improve accuracy and consistency.

• Producing accuracy metrics and insights for pilot reviews and client presentations.

• Applying your knowledge of suitability, COBS 9/9A, Consumer Duty and FCA guidance to help clients get the most from File Checking, and training compliance, T&C and QA users.

• Sharing product feedback and helping build our implementation playbooks, training materials and roadmap.

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a File Checker, Compliance Officer, T&C Supervisor or similar within a financial planning, wealth management or financial advice firm.

• A strong understanding of advice-file requirements, including suitability reports, fact-finds, risk profiling, capacity for loss, product research and rationale, COBS 9/9A and Consumer Duty.

• Paraplanning or financial advice experience alongside file checking.

• Excellent attention to detail, and strong analytical skills to compare AI and human review outcomes and explain the differences.

• Confidence leading client calls, workshops and training sessions, with strong client and stakeholder management.

• Strong organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and deliverables.

• The ability to adapt quickly to different firms and to help establish new processes in an evolving environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a start-up or scale-up.

• Experience working with clients in a SaaS or software environment.

• Experience using AI tools, digital platforms or file-review/QA software.

• Experience supporting client onboarding, implementation, change management or an early-stage product rollout.

• Experience supporting quality assurance or user acceptance testing, or familiarity with software configuration or technical analysis.
