Website Designer

Salary: £26,000 - 32,000 per year

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience as a Web Designer in a commercial or professional environment; 1–2 years experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Figma.
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS to communicate effectively with developers.
• Strong communication skills for working across teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle regulatory information appropriately.
• Good timekeeping, professional conduct, and ownership of responsibilities.
• Availability to work 37.5 hours per week across five days, predominantly from our office.
• Qualifications and evidence of understanding web fundamentals are desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Design responsive web layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Create and update designs and layouts as our product and marketing needs evolve.
• Build and maintain reusable design components and a scalable design system.
• Use modern responsive design techniques to create fluid, reflowing layouts.
• Apply consistent grid systems, spacing scales, and layout standards across designs.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are accurately translated into code.
• Conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, and validate design decisions.
• Maintain consistency with our brand guidelines across web design work.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
• Help improve our web development workflow, design process, and web and app-based products through creative, continuous design improvements.
