VMware Cloud Foundation Consultant

Salary: £51,000 - 91,000 per year

Requirements:

• Deep VCF design, build, and operate experience
• Strong NSX experience, including T0/T1, DFW, VRFs, and EVPN
• Strong vSAN experience, including ESA and OSA
• Automation experience with Terraform, Ansible, PowerCLI, and APIs
• Observability experience with Aria Ops, Ops for Networks, and Logs
• Migration experience with HCX
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Kubernetes on vSphere (VKS) experience is preferred
• DR tooling experience with SRM and VCDR is preferred
• VMware Cloud experience, including VMC on AWS and AVS, is preferred
• Avi load balancing and Aria Suite Lifecycle experience is preferred
• VCP – Cloud Foundation 9.x certification is preferred
• VCAP NV/DCV certification is welcomed
• NSX Specialist or VCF Specialist badges are preferred
• SC/DV clearance is beneficial for public sector roles

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments and define future-state VCF 9.x architectures
• Produce HLDs, LLDs, implementation plans, and operational runbooks
• Own VCF bring-up, SDDC Manager configuration, lifecycle, and compliance
• Engineer NSX, vSAN, and workload domain builds
• Design, configure, and analyse VCF Operations
• Execute migrations using HCX and vMotion
• Automate day 0, day 1, and day 2 operations with Terraform, Ansible, and PowerCLI
• Enable modern workloads such as VKS and platform guardrails
• Lead end-to-end engagements and coach others
