Utilities Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £41,000 - 81,000 per year
Requirements:- Technical Apprenticeship or HNC/HND with suitable additional experience
- Experience leading the delivery of Utilities projects/works
- Effective Stakeholder Management skills
- Construction and CDM experience
- Understanding of finance management
- Ability to identify and deliver to technical and regulatory requirements
- Primary Electrical Bias with experience across multiple disciplines
- Experience in Utility or building service delivery over a large portfolio
- Project Management qualification such as APMF/Q or Prince 2 is desirable
- Understanding of Formal Risk Management processes
- Ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority-changing environment
- Must be a British Citizen resident in the UK for the past 5 to 10 years to obtain necessary security clearance
- Deliver professional engineering services to our projects and support upgrades across the estate
- Facilitate and support project delivery to proactively manage risk across the electrical distribution network
- Provide and facilitate Network SME support to various projects across the site
- Ensure uninterrupted service to our operational site in support of our core mission
- Support asset management of electrical distribution equipment across its full lifecycle
- Design and assure designs for substations, switchgear, and infrastructure comply with technical specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements
- Plan, design, and manage the delivery of network connections across a large, multi-site estate
- Lead and advise engineers within your specialism to deliver innovative solutions to complex engineering problems

We are seeking a Utilities Engineer - Electrical to join our team at our RG7 4PR location between Reading and Basingstoke. In this role, you will support a variety of projects and distribution systems across our estate. We offer a competitive package of £49,480 - £65,000 and a unique 9-day working fortnight, giving you every other Friday off.
