TikTok Shop Data Scientist (EMEA)

Salary: £200,000 - 250,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above, majoring in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or data science
• At least 4 years of working experience in data analysis and/or data science
• Proficient in SQL, Hive, Python, R, or other relevant languages
• Solid knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and the ability to identify best practices consistently
• Strong data sense and rigorous logical mindset, with the ability to provide systematic approaches to business problems
• Experience in an analytical role within e-commerce or a similar environment
• Preferred: experience in machine learning and modeling
• Preferred: self-driven, quick to learn, and able to adapt to working with global staff in a diverse, cross-functional environment
• Preferred: strong learning ability and curiosity, with familiarity in starting a new business

Responsibilities:

• We are responsible for data analysis of e-commerce operation strategy, including Merchant Strategy, Creator Strategy, business performance, and reporting
• We design monitoring systems independently to reflect business changes in a timely manner
• We describe business situations, explain business fluctuations, and provide valuable suggestions through reports
• We cooperate with the Ops team to set strategy, such as finding potential creators, measuring user LTV, and defining merchant growth strategies
• We follow up on data analysis for regional operation teams across several overseas markets, support operational effectiveness, and provide optimization suggestions
• We cooperate with Product, Ops, and R&D teams to promote implementation of optimization schemes and drive actual business improvement and growth

We play an important role in empowering growth through impactful data insights and data products across metrics development, product, operations, algorithm improvement, data infrastructure, and data product development. We work closely with product, operations, marketing, and other teams to support informed decision-making and improve the performance and effectiveness of TikTok Shop. As part of this role, we collaborate across the commerce business to accelerate growth in new markets in Europe.
