Technical Product Owner

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• We bring vast knowledge of both product ownership and business analysis tools, techniques, and best practice approaches.
• We have experience in end-to-end requirements management, defining product vision, and roadmap planning.
• We are adept at using JIRA and other agile management tools to create, refine, and prioritise a healthy product backlog.
• We can quickly develop deep domain and technical knowledge to engage credibly with stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams on complex problem statements.
• We deliver quality outputs and maximise product value at pace in structured and fluid or challenging delivery environments.
• We have outstanding stakeholder management skills and can act as the voice of the customer and the business.
• We assure the delivery of both business requirements and technical enablers, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, scalable, and meet acceptance criteria.
• We have experience delivering end-to-end product lifecycles across a range of methodologies and champion Agile practices.
• We are accomplished problem-solvers who can challenge the status quo and develop innovative solutions.
• We have excellent written and oral communication skills and can translate complex technical concepts into clear business terms.
• Desirable: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PSPO, or equivalent Business Analysis/Agile certifications.
• Desirable: A strong technical aptitude with a foundational understanding of APIs, system integrations, data flows, or cloud architecture.
• Desirable: Experience managing and prioritising technical debt and architectural runway alongside new feature delivery.
• Desirable: Previous background in software development, data analysis, or technical systems analysis.

Responsibilities:

• We manage end-to-end requirements and help define product vision and roadmap planning.
• We use JIRA and other agile management tools to create, refine, and prioritise the product backlog.
• We engage with stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, SMEs, sponsors, and technical delivery teams on complex problem statements.
• We act as the voice of the customer and the business.
• We assure the delivery of business requirements and technical enablers.
• We ensure solutions are fit for purpose, scalable, and successfully meet acceptance criteria.
• We take ownership of key Agile ceremonies and champion Agile practices.
• We constructively challenge the status quo and balance business needs with technical constraints.
• We write comprehensive user stories and translate complex technical concepts into clear business terms.
• We collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, share knowledge, and support others growth.
