Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in the network security industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of Fortinet security design concepts, implementation, and support
• Demonstrable experience working autonomously in a multi-vendor enterprise-scale environment
• Working knowledge or general understanding of ITIL V3 or similar technology methodologies
• Knowledge and working experience with SASE and SSE environments and concepts
• Multi-platform design, implementation, and support experience
• Working experience with SD-WAN technologies, including Aruba EdgeConnect, VMware VeloCloud, and Forti Secure SD-WAN
• Experience in security architecture and designing multi-platform solutions for managed security service clients
• Experience as a technical lead during project planning, management, and implementation of client solutions, including pilot and POC deployments
• Demonstrable experience turning business requirements into architectural building blocks
• Experience working on major international and global accounts
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Offensive or defensive hacking knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Design bespoke customer network security models
• Review and approve advanced security configurations based on best practices and standards
• Personally support first deployments of solutions and proof of concepts
• Support the sales engineer during the pre-sales process by positioning the right security posture to the customer
• Monitor networking security updates, technologies, and best practices to improve overall security management
• Liaise with partners and vendors to fulfil agreed customer expectations
• Produce and endorse technical standards, reference architectures, deployment guides, and technology roadmaps in close collaboration with product management
• Create technical documentation and update standards and guidelines
• Act as the subject matter expert for customer accounts, providing technical advice and consultancy on security topics
• Occasionally work at customer premises
• Cover a flexible role within a team of highly skilled architects across LAN/WAN, Voice, Network and Information Security, Internet Services, and UC Services
• Participate in project calls with clients to review and capture low-level design requirements and security best practices
• Assist in identifying and resolving security-related issues during project deployment
• Support managed services teams across Service Delivery, Engineering, Operations, Product, and Project Management

We are a fast-growing and highly successful IT services and consulting provider. This is a flexible remote contract role for a Technical Design Authority focused on Security, SD-WAN, and Fortinet, with candidates required to be UK-based. The contract is for 3 months rolling, offered on an outside IR35 basis, and may involve occasional work at customer premises. You will join a team of highly skilled architects covering a broad range of technologies including LAN/WAN, Voice, Network and Information Security, Internet Services, and UC Services.
