Technical Consultant (Warehouse Management Systems)

Salary: £40,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience implementing, configuring, or supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Experience working within warehousing, distribution, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, retail, or 3PL environments
• Customer-facing consulting or implementation experience
• Strong understanding of warehouse operational processes and workflows
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technology solutions
• Experience facilitating workshops, testing activities, and customer training
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Experience with one or more enterprise WMS platforms such as Blue Yonder, Manhattan Associates, Körber / HighJump, SAP EWM, Oracle WMS, or Microlistics
• API and systems integration experience
• EDI implementations experience
• Data migration activities experience
• SQL or database experience
• Exposure to Transport Management Systems (TMS)
• Right to work in the United Kingdom
• Valid UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel to customer locations as required

Responsibilities:

• Conduct customer discovery workshops and requirements gathering sessions
• Understand warehouse, logistics, and supply chain operations and translate business requirements into software solutions
• Configure and implement WMS and TMS solutions
• Develop functional specifications, process flows, and implementation documentation
• Support testing, validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment activities
• Deliver customer training and knowledge transfer programs
• Assist with solution rollouts, cutovers, and go-live support
• Work closely with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes
• Identify opportunities to optimise customer processes and maximise solution value
• Build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders throughout implementation projects
• Travel to customer sites across the UK as part of project delivery
• Support occasional international travel when required
• Work outside standard business hours for some implementation and go-live activities
