Technical Architect

Salary: £19,500 - 35,500 per year

Requirements:

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS
• Experience delivering software designs for multi-tiered modern software applications
• Experience with technical ownership for a product or software project, including architecture, estimation, product planning, and user story or requirement creation
• Understanding of non-functional concerns and experience incorporating them into application design
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including SaaS and PaaS offerings
• Ability to communicate technical design clearly in conversation, documentation, and presentations
• Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-moving delivery environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop junior team members and a wider community
• Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate issues to technical and non-technical people
• Experience with multiple programming languages and data storage technologies
• Experience managing others, setting objectives, giving feedback, and leading performance reviews
• Active participation in knowledge-sharing activities within the team, wider capability groups, and externally where appropriate
• Participation in technology communities

• Work with customer architects to agree technical designs
• Advise on estimated effort and technical implications of user stories and user journeys
• Manage, coach, and develop a small number of staff
