Tech Lead - Power Platform

Salary: £114,400 - 135,200 per year

Requirements:

• We need demonstrable experience across the full development lifecycle for Microsoft Power Platform.
• We need strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform architecture and components.
• We need strong experience developing in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and SharePoint.
• We need a deep understanding of Model-driven apps and Canvas apps.
• We need experience performing Power Apps administration tasks.
• We need experience integrating Power Apps with third-party cloud solutions through APIs.
• We need strong business analysis skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across the council.
• We need experience with application building and architectural design.
• We need experience migrating existing business solutions from older technology to Power Apps.
• We need experience working with internal stakeholders to capture requirements and turn them into implementable solutions.
• We need knowledge of Power Platform environments, users, licenses, capacity management, and backup policies.
• We need experience establishing Power Apps practices and strategies to optimize performance, security, and scalability.
• We need experience producing technical documentation and user guides.
• We need experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• We need experience supporting training for other team members, including pair programming and mentoring.
• We need experience supporting UAT with business users, capturing and reporting defects for review and remediation.
• We need experience working with product management to define and refine requirements, establish the MVP, and minimize technical debt.
• We need experience working in a matrix team involving developers, product managers, designers, and architects.
• We need experience with Dynamics 365 or Azure, which is desirable.
• We need understanding of OAuth.
• We need experience with SQL.
• We need experience with formulas, C#, or JavaScript.
• We need a Power Platform Functional Consultant PL-200 certification or equivalent experience, although passion and practical Power Platform experience are more important.
• Mandatory technical skills include Dataverse, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Power Pages/Portals, Power Automate, Liquid Templating, XRM API for MDA, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Web API/OData, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, REST, Azure operations and services, and FetchXML.

Responsibilities:

• We will work with business stakeholders and the development team to design, build, and deliver high-quality solutions supporting our adoption of Power Apps across the council.
• We will design, develop, and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.
• We will capture requirements from stakeholders and translate them into solutions for implementation.
• We will build and improve applications that make a real impact on how our services function and how we improve residents lives.
• We will establish and support Power Platform environments, users, licenses, capacity management, and backup policies.
• We will support training for other team members through pair programming, mentoring, and related knowledge-sharing activities.
• We will support UAT with business users and capture and report defects for review and remediation.
• We will produce technical documentation and user guides for our applications.
• We will develop Power BI reports and dashboards.
