Requirements:

• Experience in systems engineering, solution architecture, or technical leadership
• Experience delivering complex enterprise software or distributed systems
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and systems integration
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices
• Experience working directly with customers and senior stakeholders
• Experience in defence, government, infrastructure, or other complex technical environments is desirable
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with distributed systems and APIs
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code
• Experience with security and cloud architecture

We are supporting a software consultancy to hire an experienced Systems Engineer contractor for a 6-month initial contract on a long-term programme with likely extensions. The role is hybrid, with two days a week onsite in our London office, and sits inside IR35 with a competitive day rate of £600-£675. You will help deliver complex modelling and decision-support software used across defence, infrastructure, energy, and government.
