Spreadsheet and Data Specialist

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience building and maintaining structured spreadsheet-based data assets
• Experience implementing validation rules, controlled fields, and formatting to improve data quality and usability
• Experience creating reporting views for risk, ownership, and lifecycle insight
• Experience documenting data structures, rules, and operating instructions for handover
• Experience preparing structured exports to support migration into a target tooling platform
• Ability to work with Data Administrators and BAs to support agreed data standards

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain the governed spreadsheet asset aligned to the agreed data model
• Implement validation rules, controlled fields, and formatting that improve data quality and usability
• Create reporting views that allow the programme to use the asset for risk, ownership, and lifecycle insight
• Document the data structure, rules, and operating instructions required for handover
• Prepare structured exports where needed to support migration into the target tooling platform
• Work with the Data Administrator and BAs to ensure the tool supports the data standards being created

We are creating a trusted, governed application intelligence capability that provides an authoritative view of our application estate. Our work includes creating core application data assets, supporting data standards, ownership and lifecycle records, reporting capability, and the tooling required to manage and maintain them. We are developing a governed AML spreadsheet, management reporting views, and a data handover package, with stretch targets that include a structured data migration export.
