Software Engineer (Associate) - Trade Processing
Job Description
Salary: £69,000 - 109,000 per year
Requirements:- We need strong Java development skills, with an understanding of testing, DevOps, and the software development lifecycle.
- We need the ability to work effectively within a global team spread across multiple time zones.
- We need strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- We need a desire to work in a technology team focused on providing services to other IT systems.
- We need an understanding of distributed messaging technologies, ideally with experience of JMS, Apache Pulsar, or Solace.
- We need experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server.
- We would ideally like experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and Project Reactor or Spring WebFlux.
- We would benefit from skills in JavaScript/React and/or Python.
- We would find knowledge of AI useful.
- We design, build, and deploy a global trade processing system in phased deliverables.
- We develop and test services that are critical for the capture, persistence, and distribution of trades and related data.
- We provide services to other GMIT systems on demand and in real time.
- We leverage our DevOps services to deploy services to non-production and production environments.
- We provide system support and maintenance beyond first-level support.
- We coordinate with other Global Markets technology teams to help develop comprehensive capabilities across applications.
