Software Developer - Portsmouth

Salary: £114,400 - 114,400 per year

Requirements:

• Java Core 8
• Spring Boot and Spring Framework experience
• Good knowledge of developing in Spring with Hibernate
• Good knowledge of developing REST within HTTPS
• Experience developing within a microservice architecture
• Experience with web services using RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of distributed systems
• Knowledge and use of software design patterns
• Experience with agile development processes
• Experience with CI/CD delivery techniques
• Source code management experience using Git
• Experience using issue tracking systems such as Jira
• UML/SysML experience using Enterprise Architect or similar tools
• Ability to self-motivate and work well within a team environment
• Ability to promote innovation in self and others
• Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a confident and professional manner

Responsibilities:

• Join a 7-member scrum team within a wider program delivering a management system for a new satellite
• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, and testing
• Design software solutions, particularly using UML
• Develop software, particularly using Java technologies
• Test features and support automated testing activities
• Work within an agile Scrum environment
• Help design, implement, and test features for a new product development
• Estimate tasks in line with sprint planning
