Senior Software Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year

• Comfortable working across application and infrastructure layers
• Ability to produce high-quality, well-structured work
• Careful and clear communicator
• Comfortable taking ownership when it matters
• Able to work office-based in Lincoln 5 days per week
• Live within a sensible commuting distance of Lincoln

Responsibilities:

• Develop and improve backend services in Laravel
• Build and maintain APIs
• Ensure the platform remains stable, secure, and scalable as it grows
• Investigate and resolve issues related to performance, data integrity, and unexpected behaviour
• Take responsibility for identifying root causes and implementing lasting fixes
• Improve CI/CD pipelines
• Refine deployment processes
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure and architecture decisions

The product sits at the centre of day-to-day operations and continues to evolve as demand grows. You will join a small, experienced team of three senior engineers who value collaboration, ownership, and high standards. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Lincoln, office-based 5 days per week, offering the chance to influence how the platform and its technical direction evolve.
