Senior Security Architect Consultant

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a track record of delivering security solutions for large-scale infrastructure, transformation or integration programmes.
• We expect practical knowledge of security frameworks and guidance such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NCSC CAF and other NCSC guidelines.
• We need in-depth knowledge of modern security concepts, common attack vectors, malware, security analytics and threat intelligence.
• We require a minimum of 10 years of experience in cyber security.
• We require any 2 of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CRISC, or equivalent experience.
• We need 3+ years of experience and good knowledge across several areas such as AD, cryptography, end user computing, IAM, PKI, server hardening, SIEM, SOAR, and virtualization (VMware).
• We value strong teamwork skills and attention to detail.
• We expect the ability to work independently as needed while thinking as part of a team.
• We need self-motivation and the ability to take responsibility.
• We are looking for a persuasive communicator who uses logic to win support and change views.
• Candidates must hold, or be able to gain, UK SC level Security Clearance or higher.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you develop and own the design, implementation and ongoing development of the security architecture of our clients IT systems.
• We will have you identify business objectives, user needs, risk appetite and cyber security obligations.
• We will have you identify vulnerabilities, perform threat modelling, undertake risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of security controls.
• We will have you verify and evidence alignment to Secure by Design principles, our corporate security policy and standards, and industry-recognized frameworks and best practice.
• We will have you develop and own secure conceptual, logical and high-level designs by identifying appropriate security controls embedded in solutions that meet business requirements and target risk appetite.
• We will have you develop and own design recommendations and articulate them at security architecture assurance gates.
• We will have you develop and own design documentation, options papers, risk assessments and stakeholder presentations, and communicate these to senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• We will have you distil complex information and concepts into key discussion points that lead to resolution.
• We will have you develop and own the development of our Security Practice skills and capabilities, including coaching and mentoring junior team members.
• We will have you develop and own collateral to support our Security Consulting go-to-market propositions and service offerings.
• We will have you develop and own compelling client proposals in collaboration with teams across our business.
• We will have you identify risks and emerging cyber security vulnerabilities and threats, then analyse them to quantify and lead risk mitigation plans.
• We will have you work closely with 1st, 2nd and 3rd lines of defence on cyber security, information assurance, cyber risk, data privacy, regulatory and compliance matters.
• We will have you constructively challenge established processes and controls to identify, recommend and facilitate continuous improvement.
• We will have you ensure that personnel, including senior stakeholders, understand their responsibilities in relation to security risk mitigation and remediation.
