Senior IT Engineer (Field)

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in planning and implementation of IT solutions
• Experience delivering technical solutions across a wide range of environments
• Experience with server infrastructures, network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and telephony platforms
• Ability to act as a technical escalation point and guide for junior colleagues
• Ability to work professionally with customers and internal teams
• Ability to work to agreed KPIs and maintain accurate documentation and ticket records

Responsibilities:

• Implement technical solutions for customers, including new and upgraded IT infrastructure
• Carry out installation, migration, and troubleshooting work across server, network, cloud, and telephony platforms
• Act as the preferred engineer for specified accounts
• Mentor junior colleagues and provide technical escalation support
• Work closely with the Projects Team to deliver projects efficiently and to customer satisfaction
• Deliver IT projects within agreed timescales
• Provide regular, accurate, and concise updates to customers
• Set up and maintain customer documentation to support knowledge sharing across the business
• Provide input during project planning based on customer knowledge
• Attend client meetings as a technical advisor
• Work with all areas of the business to deliver successful projects
• Record all work in our ticketing system and keep assigned tickets updated
• Prioritise and categorise tickets for efficient progression
• Own tickets end to end throughout their lifecycle
• Log calls with third-party companies
• Recommend network and system improvements to the Account Manager
• Proactively identify issues and recurring problem tickets
• Help create and manage a technical knowledge base
• Provide technical training and assistance to other staff
• Support and follow processes to ensure consistent customer service and teamwork
• Maintain a professional attitude when representing the business
• Work to agreed individual and team KPIs
• Handle other business-related issues or requests as required
