Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £46,000 - 66,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong enterprise infrastructure experience within complex IT environments.
• Expertise in Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, VMware, and enterprise networking.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, storage, and data protection solutions.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Technical leadership experience and a passion for mentoring others.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between company locations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead enterprise infrastructure services across multiple sites.
• Manage virtualisation, compute, storage, backup, and recovery platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and senior-level escalation support.
• Drive infrastructure improvements, resilience, and performance optimisation.
• Support cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to infrastructure projects and transformation programmes.

We are recruiting a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to support and enhance critical IT infrastructure across multiple UK and Ireland locations. This is a multi-site role with travel required, offering technical ownership of a complex enterprise environment that supports both commercial and manufacturing operations. You will work closely with business stakeholders, global IT teams, and external partners, with exposure to modern enterprise technologies, transformation projects, and opportunities to influence infrastructure strategy and service improvement within a global organisation.
