Senior Elixir Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• We ideally want experience with Elixir and OTP.
• We ideally want experience with Phoenix and LiveView.
• We ideally want experience designing distributed systems.
• We ideally want experience building APIs and backend services.
• We ideally want experience with distributed relational and/or OLAP databases.
• We ideally want experience with containerised applications and modern deployment practices.
• We ideally want experience with cloud and on-premises platforms.
• We ideally want experience designing maintainable software that evolves over time.
• We ideally want experience with performance profiling.
• Experience with geospatial systems, MapLibre or PostGIS would be highly advantageous, but is not essential.

• We will build scalable APIs.
• We will process live maritime telemetry.
• We will develop rich LiveView interfaces.
• We will work with large geospatial datasets.
• We will design fault-tolerant distributed services.
• We will help shape technical strategy across the platform.
• We will improve deployment, observability and developer tooling.
• We will join a small team of experienced engineers with significant influence over architecture and technical direction.
• We will build stable, secure and scalable platforms that power our next generation of web technologies.
