Senior DevOps Engineer

Salary: £33,000 - 73,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• We require strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• We require practical experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• We require extensive experience with cloud computing and best practices or emerging technologies.
• We require experience with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture, and integration.
• We require experience with monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
• We require strong communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical implementation.
• We require the ability to manage stakeholders, negotiate, and influence effectively.
• We require willingness to travel.
• We require the right to work in the UK.
• We require the ability to attain UK Security Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• We are responsible for implementing and supporting improvements that increase efficiency, enhance software quality, and accelerate delivery times.
• We share responsibility across development and operations with a focus on people, process, and tools, all with a unified customer and user focus.
• We work in a multidisciplinary team alongside Development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, and UCD to apply best practices in DevOps.
• We facilitate information and business knowledge by acting as a business SME and understanding business needs.
• We support the business by translating requirements into efficient DevOps solutions.
• We manage stakeholders to ensure the service runs effectively and that effort is placed appropriately.
• We work with DevOps tooling, containers, and containerisation.
• We create and maintain AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
• We use Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and other relevant technologies to support infrastructure and delivery.
• We contribute to cloud computing, GitOps, schema change management, and monitoring practices where applicable.
