Senior Data Analyst - Wise Platform - Fincrime

Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a Senior Analyst with mid-senior level experience.
• We need someone with experience in financial crime, compliance, transaction monitoring, or related risk analysis work.
• We value the ability to conduct exploratory data analysis and build reporting to monitor and mitigate risks.
• We are looking for someone who can partner effectively with Product, Product Compliance, Fincrime, KYC, and Business Operations teams.
• We value experience creating, tuning, and maintaining controls and monitoring rules in a fast-scaling environment.

Responsibilities:

• We will rely on you to spearhead how we identify, manage, and mitigate risks in Wise Platform.
• You will proactively identify compliance gaps and build transaction monitoring rules to detect suspicious activity.
• You will develop reporting that demonstrates our effectiveness in preventing financial crime.
• You will conduct exploratory data analysis to inform, develop, and fine tune our controls.
• You will set up standardised processes for tuning transaction monitoring thresholds.
• You will work closely with our Partner Risk Monitoring team to support monitoring of emerging partner risks and ensure activity stays within our risk appetite.
• You will contribute to our financial crime reporting and analysis by defining and maintaining financial crime KRIs, performing deep dives, and making recommendations to help us monitor and mitigate partner risks.
