Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience developing applications using TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience building and operating cloud-native services on AWS
• Strong understanding and practical experience of TDD and automated testing
• Good knowledge of modern software engineering principles and practices
• Experience working within Agile, cross-functional delivery teams
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control
• Experience supporting live or production services
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS, TypeScript and Node.js
• Write comprehensive automated tests and deliver high-quality code using TDD
• Build and manage infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation and SAM
• Support live services, investigate production issues and drive continuous improvement
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews and technical design discussions
• Work collaboratively through pair programming and other modern engineering practices
• Collaborate with Architects, SREs, Product Owners, Delivery Managers and other technical stakeholders
• Help deliver reliable, secure and scalable digital services

We are an experienced multidisciplinary Agile team building, testing, deploying and supporting secure, cloud-native digital services at scale. We work primarily with AWS, TypeScript and Node.js, using modern engineering practices including Test-Driven Development, pair programming and continuous delivery. This is an initial contract until the end of the year, outside IR35, with a hybrid working arrangement of one day per week in London and an ASAP start.
