SAP S/4HANA Domain Architect

Salary: £33,000 - 41,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are seeking 8+ years of experience in SAP architecture or solution architecture, including significant hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• We need deep functional and architectural expertise in either Finance or Supply Chain business processes.
• We require demonstrated experience defining enterprise architecture, integration strategies, and target-state designs in complex environments.
• We need the ability to communicate architectural concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred: background in consulting or systems integration, with exposure to multiple SAP S/4HANA implementation approaches (greenfield, brownfield, or selective transition).
• Preferred: experience with clean core governance, extensibility frameworks, and custom code reduction initiatives.
• Preferred: familiarity with LeanIX, capability mapping, or dependency visualization tools.
• Preferred: experience supporting SAP modernization assessments, including simplification items, readiness planning, or custom code impact analysis.

Responsibilities:

• We define and maintain future-state enterprise architecture aligned to SAP S/4HANA-enabled business capabilities and ERP roadmaps.
• We lead architecture decision-making for Finance (Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay) or Supply Chain (Plan, Make, Deliver, inventory, logistics).
• We establish and guide boundary application strategy, recommending when to replace, retain, or integrate satellite systems.
• We define and enforce clean core architecture guardrails, using SAP-recommended extensibility patterns and pragmatic exception governance.
• We guide custom code strategy, including rationalization, remediation, and redesign to reduce technical debt and support S/4HANA adoption.
• We ensure integration alignment across SAP and non-SAP systems using standardized patterns and architectural principles.
• We use enterprise architecture tools such as LeanIX or equivalent to provide transparency into dependencies, integrations, and rationalization opportunities.
• We develop concise, executive-ready architecture materials that clearly outline options, trade-offs, and recommendations for governance and leadership forums.

We are Agilent, and this is a hybrid role with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Architect to help define, govern, and enable enterprise architecture as part of our ERP modernization journey. The role focuses on Finance or Supply Chain capabilities and plays a central role in shaping future-state architecture, guiding fit-to-standard decisions, and maintaining a pragmatic clean core approach across SAP S/4HANA and integrated systems. We partner closely with business leaders, IT delivery teams, and governance forums to ensure solution scalability, integration alignment, and long-term maintainability. This is a full-time position with a weekly schedule, travel required at 10% of the time, and a pay range of $127,680.00 - $199,500.00 per year plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.
