Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing the SAP R/3 ERP system.
  • Recognised financial qualifications supporting the level of experience and knowledge of Finance.
  • Experience in the analysis of GPD (Grouping, Pegging and Distribution) issues within the aerospace and defence industry.
  • Strong, demonstrable experience with SAP ERP/MRP, with emphasis on product cost management.
  • Demonstrated functional expertise with SAP R/3 FI/CO/PS and integration experience with SAP PP/MM/SD modules.
  • SAP experience in a manufacturing and supply chain environment.
  • Understanding of IT systems disciplines, including requirements management, configuration management, change control, reliability analysis, and quality management.
  • Ability to lead business-centric requirements discussions, obtain stakeholder consensus, and support delivery through technical design, deployment, and operations.
  • Experience of providing high-demand, mission-critical systems on a 24x7 basis.
  • Knowledge of service management disciplines, engagement, design, delivery, and maintenance lifecycles in a high technology or IT services domain.
  • Demonstrable evidence of effective problem-solving skills in complex support incidents.
  • Excellent relationship skills with the ability to build positive relationships with both business and technical personnel.
  • Experience of delivering high-demand business services within technology services environments in a complex matrix structure.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective collaboration within virtual teams and multi-party environments.
  • Desirable: SC cleared or the ability to become SC cleared.
  • Experience of other key transactional and reporting systems and data warehousing.
  • Experience of working closely with Manufacturing and Supply Chain functions.
  • An appreciation of ITIL functions and processes.
  • Business leadership experience of teams and functions utilising complex ERP systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of project and service delivery disciplines, including business analysis, requirements gathering, resource planning, and project proposal creation.
  • Full project lifecycle experience, user support, and training experience.
  • Preferably degree-level education in a software engineering discipline, although significant experience and a strong track record with tertiary qualifications is acceptable.
Responsibilities:
  • Review transactions such as distribution, purchase orders, and pegging, and work with the business team to resolve errors.
  • Manage financial calendars and schedules in SAP.
  • Provide training to users on issues with business processes.
  • Work with key users to identify, scope, and implement system changes to improve processes and respond to business change.
  • Provide a single point of knowledge across Finance, Manufacturing, SCM, and other business functions on how data moves between them and how changes in one area affect others.
  • Act as the Business Process Expert/Super User for all SAP and SAP BW activities in both the business and IT.
  • Act as the first line of help for all business users.
  • Review daily GPD Pegging error reports, investigate new errors, and suggest corrective action.
  • Review daily GPD Distribution error reports, investigate new errors, and suggest corrective action.
  • Review daily GPD ZCMR purchase order reports, analyse movements in error accounts, and suggest corrective action.
  • Respond to GPD questions from the business, identifying whether issues exist or whether there is a lack of understanding.
  • Answer questions on GPD cost movements, identifying where costs have moved and the reason for the movement.
  • Provide training on GPD matters when requested or where knowledge gaps are identified.
  • Act as the resident expert in the use of SAP and SAP BW applications.
  • Define processes and procedures for how transactions should be used in the business.
  • Work with IT Technical System Experts to prioritise defects and describe system changes needed for evolving business requirements.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert in Finance, SCM, Quality, Manufacturing, and Commercial from an IT perspective, bridging business and IT to maximise user engagement and understanding.
  • Plan work with the Head of ERP Services, ensuring operational integrity and compliance covering information security, change management, asset management, and software licensing.
  • Meet IS assurance, governance, and policy requirements to ensure secure and stable IT platforms.
  • Lead troubleshooting of all business-related service issues.
  • Support the implementation and measurement of key service level agreements.
  • Support the maintenance of service quality levels and oversee complex customer service events.
  • Manage incidents, problems, and changes to the service efficiently following agreed and documented processes.
  • Support the release of updates into service in line with technology roadmaps and demand management.
  • Maintain associated documentation, support procedures, and support rota/cover arrangements as necessary.
